The text is illustrated with black-and-white contemporary drawings by various children and adults; and black-and-white photographs. Photographic paperback binding with orange coloured titles to the front panel and white coloured titles to the back strip. Black and white photograph of author to the rear panel. This is not a traditional "autobiography" of the Holocaust by the author, but a series of memories and fragments of growing up, her family, and of the various concentration camps that she was interred in – Terezin, Auschwitz and Bergen Belsen during the Holocaust.
