Initially published in 1574. This is the English translation which was first published in 1711. Lacking covers, scattered modest toning and foxing. Contents complete. A historically significant work dealing with the conflicts of Church and state among other issues. ESTCT115191 The second edition, with additions, and a new preface by the translator. With a half-title. The last three leaves contain advertisements for Edward Valentine and J. Osborn. Translated by Robert, Viscount Molesworth. .
