Initially published in 1574. This is the English translation which was first published in 1711. Lacking covers, scattered modest toning and foxing. Contents complete. A historically significant work dealing with the conflicts of Church and state among other issues. ESTCT115191 The second edition, with additions, and a new preface by the translator.
