1877 Freemasonry in Holy Land Voyages Masonic Poetry Eastern Star Robert Morris

Robert Morris was an important American Freemason poet who is chiefly remembered for creating the Order of the Eastern Star. He composed over 400 poems most of which dealt with the Eastern Star and Freemasonry. He voyaged to the Holy Land and wrote hymns and poems based on his experiences there. He also published a book describing his sights and discoveries in Syria, Palestine, and Egypt entitled 'Freemasonry in the Holy Land' which featured many of his poems and odes.
