About This Item
With a preface by Doris Shadbolt and an introduction to the 1930 speech by the late Ira Dilworth. From the Preface by Shadbolt:
"Not only are these the only two public talks on art Emily Carr ever gave, one feels they were the only talks she had in her to give. She was not verbal or analytical about her art. And we know, from her journals and from the first-hand reports of friends and acquaintances, that she could become very impatient with those who were, or wanted to be. In fact, she felt she should not be giving the talk at all because she was only a worker, "and workers should work and talkers should talk, and both has best stick to their own jobs and avoid getting mixed up."
Dust jacket has some wear to top and bottom of spine and the front flap has a clipped corner, but the price and ISBN number are at the bottom of the rear flap.
