McDowell, Obolensky, 1960. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Good. 180 pages. First printing stated. Eleven b&w illustrations - photos and document facsimiles. Account, written pseudonymously by the Czech former communist and former official in the Masaryk government Josef B. Heisler who had emigrated to the UK, of the Cold War disappearance of Cdr Lionel Crabb while diving to inspect a Russian warship. 8vo, green cloth with black lettering on spine, wear at crown, dust soil to top edge, a few faint foxing spots to other edges, age-toning to end papers. Unclipped dust jacket is soiled and worn, with chipping and up to 1" tears, some mended with clear tape from the inside. Name of a former owner written on front pastedown, old prices in pencil on front free end paper, interior pages unmarked.
