The full captioned title of this full-page map is "Map of Mississippi Showing the Field Operations of Generals Sherman, Grant, and Banks." Three other smaller maps are on the facing page: "Map of Vicksburg, Miss., Showing the Field Operations of General Sherman," "Map of the Battle of Murfreesboro, Tennessee," and "Plan of the Battle of Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
