The autobiography of a woman raising a handicapped child, a redeeming story of a whole family journeying across continents through adversity to discovery and fulfillment, living amongst Memmonites in the Paraquayan jungles where the author bore a mentally handicapped son and ultimately brought him to America in the turbulent 1960s, ultimately triumphing over the 'hopeless' prognostications by doctors. Hardcover with dust jacket, 218pp., d.j. shows edgewear with several closed tears and one two-inch horizontal chip to spine. Jacket is now neatly encased in an acid-free archival protector. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
