A key figure in the Irish modernist movement, Flann O'Brien counted James Joyce, Graham Greene, and Dylan Thomas amongst his admirers. The Further Cuttings from Cruiskeen Lawn is a hilarious selection of O'Brien's satirical writings taken from his column in the Irish Times, covering the the post-war period of 1947-1957.
