About This Item

Garden City, N.Y.: Doubleday, 1974. First Edition, First Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 180 pp. 22 cm. 8vo. Hardcover. Publisher's original black cloth over boards, gilt lettering and decorations to spine and front cover. Book Condition: Spine ends pushed, each and every extremity showing the beginnings of wear. Very sound of course, text block clean and unmarred. Dust Jacket Condition: Jay J. Smith designed jacket cleans up nicely, with price intact and pink marbled effect fresh and vibrant. Spine ends chipped with some loss, top edge showing several small tears with dustiness to white areas. All in all a very presentable copy getting harder to find in collectable condition. The line-up: Jones, R.F.: Pacer.--Oliver, C. : The gift.--Reynolds, M. : Generation gap.--Green, J. : The waiting world.--Anvil, C. : The knife and the sheath. (Alert SF fans will recognize Christopher Anvil's name as a pseudonym long used by Harry Christopher Crosby.) --Carr, T. : Rejoice, rejoice, we have no choice.--Malzberg, B.N. : Over the line.--Scortia, T.N. : Blood brother.
