London: William Heinemann, [1916]. vii, [1], 173pp, [1]. With a half-title. Bound by Hatchards of London in contemporary gilt-tooled red half-morocco, red cloth boards, T.E.G. A trifle rubbed. Early inked gift inscription to FFEP, scattered spotting. A handsomely bound copy of Adela Florence Nicolson's [pseud. Laurence Hope] (1865-1904) popular collection of verse, first published in 1901. The 1914 Christmas edition of the Bookman reviewed the work favourably: 'An eastern splendour of imagery, the mysticism, the sensuousness, the esoteric vision of the east shine and breathe and brood through all the poems in the book'. . New impression. 8vo.
