Chicago: Fairbanks, Palmer & Co., 1883. 26th edition, 1883. Hard to find in full leather. Thick volume, an extensive reference covering all kinds of forms and instruction in Victorian business and social etiquette. Full brown leather lettered and extensively decorated in gilt, all edges gilt, gilt tooled inner dentelles, patterned blue endpapers, frontis portrait of the author, other illustrations throughout, more than two inches thick. Spine skillfully repaired with well-matched leather, surviving parts of original spine covering preserved, some very light chipping to far outer edges of covers, endpapers worn and unevenly faded, lower part of front hinge repaired, binding sound, foxing to frontis (mainly on the blank reverse side), some darkening to inner margins of last few pages, no names or other markings.. Hard Cover. Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
