1860 hardcover as pictured. Binding is largely intact though the front endpapers and part of the preface are loose. Quarter bound in leather and dark green cloth. Boards are embossed, spine with gold stamping. The boards are soiled and very worn with fraying at edges. Leather is worn and scuffed with tears at spine. Front board and spine have come loose from the text block. Pages 7-10 are missing from the preface/index. Text is age tanned with mottling of many pages. Several tissue guarded engravings. No dust jacket. Your purchase helps support our small village library. s
