Elihu Geer, Hartford, 1879. First Edition. Hardcover. Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. Size: Octavo (standard book size). Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Spine working loose but still intact. Brown gilt-stamped cloth over boards, 332 pages, plus 3 pages of advertisements, Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain) listed on page 51, includes folding map of Hartford between pages 24 and 25, pages 165-216 are advertisements on colored paper. Covers stained, worn at corners, edges and spine ends, rear free end paper ripped out, end papers soiled, can see string of binding in some places, otherwise a clean copy and still fairly tight.
