London: Hildesheimer & Faulkner This charming item, probably published 1890's, was published by Hildesheimer & Faulkner and printed in Germany, but published in London. Siegmund Hildesheimer (1832-1896) was a German-born British publisher, best known for Christmas and other greetings cards, and postcards, produced by Siegmund Hildesheimer & Co Ltd, in London and Manchester. In very good overall order. A few marks to the illustrated Card Covers, thereafter, the internal poems and illustrations are free of any marking or foxing. p.12, with the same number of chromolithographic plates. Uncommon. . Marian Croft. 8vo, folio, unpaginated (12), pictorial stiff card covers with gilt letters, dulled, edges rubbed, interior with moderate foxing, more so on the chromolithographic plates and a few marks, binding sound. I can find no reference to this work but the publishers are no strangers to this type of printing. c.1890.
