A beautifully illustrated seventh edition of Thomas Bewick's influential natural history work on Quadrupeds. The seventh edition of this work. 'A General History of Quadrupeds' deals with two-hundred and sixty mammals from across the world, looking at domestic animals, such as horses and cows, as well as animals such as jackals and polecats. This work was popular upon its publication, especially for the fine illustrations. Illustrated with a vignette title page, and many in-text illustrations. Illustrated and written by Thomas Bewick.
