"Dobzhansky explained how three levels could describe the processes of evolutionary population genetics: (1) the origin of raw materials by mutations of genes and chromosomes, (2) the changes in populations by changes in frequencies and combinations of mutations, (3) the fixation of changes by reproductive isolation." Wikipedia "Theodosius Grygorovych Dobzhansky (Ukrainian: Теодо́сій Григо́рович Добжа́нський; Russian: Феодо́сий Григо́рьевич Добржа́нский) , Ph.D. (University of Leningrad, 1927; B.S., Biology, University of Kiev, 1921), was a prominent geneticist and evolutionary biologist, one of the central figures in modern evolutionary synthesis; his major work concerning the latter is "Genetics and the Origin of Species", published in 1937. He emigrated to the USA in 1927 on a scholarship from the Rockefeller Foundation.

Dobzhansky was the recipient of the National Medal of Science in 1964 and the Franklin Medal in 1973." Good Reads

About Ohkwaho Books and Fine Art

Welcome to Ohkwaho Books and Fine Art. We are a small family-run, independent book-seller looking to share our passion for the written word with the world. We specialize in historical fiction, non-fiction and children's fiction. Above all we value integrity and transparency and are looking for ways to connect with other bibliophiles. Our resident artist is a proudly Metis youth, working to regain connection with his Metis heritage, and much of his passion for social justice and reconciliation may be envisioned within his art. We offer a wide variety of books for sale, both gently used and new. We are also very thrilled to announce availability of a limited number of prints and original artwork by Baz. In addition, we are always happy to connect with you to discuss commissions and other types of requests. Please reach out and let us know how best we can work with you! We look forward to hearing from you.
