About This Item
London: Herbert Jenkins, 1923. Ex library copy re-bound in heavy-duty brown boards with gilt titles on spine and with new endpapers, but with no stamps or labels. Some old damp-marking to the boards, slight shelf-wear to bottom edge and to corners, a tear to the lower inner side of pp 239-242, but otherwise a not too bad copy. The story deals with an easy-going chap who is persuaded to become a professional boxer. Possibly an early novel by the popular (at the time) author of many detective and thriller titles such as "X versus Rex" and "The Rasp", and the war story "Patrol"? 255pp.. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Ex-Library.
