The second book of H.L. Mencken, an analysis (and appreciation) of the plays of George Bernard Shaw. With a lengthy introduction by Mencken.
PHYSCIAL DETAILS: Small Octavo (7 5/8 x 5 1/4 inches; 194 x 132 mm), black cloth, paper labels to front cover and spine (hard cover).
CONDITION: Light scratch to front cover, moderate wear to the spine tips and corners with darkening to the spine label, fading to top stain. Internally: Early bookplate to the front paste down, with an additional bookplate (of Frank Harding) to the front end paper and Harding's name in ink, dated 1929. A few scattered pencil markings and light toning to page edges. About Very Good, lacking the very scarce dust jacket.
