Inscribed in blue pen to the inside front cover ; "Michael with best wishes Hot off the Press. No 115/500 Cedric Charles Dickens". Further signature in blue to page 11 "Cedric". Very Good condition with minor marks to the covers.
The George and Vulture is mentioned at least 20 times in the 1837 novel The Pickwick Papers by Charles Dickens, who frequently drank there himself. It has been the headquarters of the City Pickwick Club since its foundation.
