Junius was the pseudonym of a writer who contributed a series of letters to the Public Advertiser, a London newspaper, from 1769 to 1772. The 'Letters of Junius' composed of 68 letters between the 'Public Advertiser,' Philo Junius, Sir William Draper, and Mr. Horne. It was written to notify the public of their historical and constitutional rights and describe how the government had disregarded those rights. 1884 1ed Confederate War Papers General Gustv Smith Battle Seven Pines Civil War

Gustavus Woodward Smith was a Confederate general during the American Civil War, best remembered for his role in the Battle of Seven Pines. When General Joseph Johnson was injured, Smith took over the commanding role until his health deteriorated and Robert E. Lee ultimately took over.
Following the war, Smith published a memoir of his experience in the war. 'Confederate War Papers' covers topics including Jefferson Davis's presidential election, battle tactics and maneuvers, Confederate defenses and forts, and much emphasis on the Battle of Seven Pines. However, according to Nevins,
"Smith was a failure as a general; this work is largely his rationalization for shortcomings at Seven Pines."

John H Beadle was a member of the Mormon expedition across the United States to the American West. He made notes and reports on the excursion and ultimately published a fascinating work on every aspect of the trip. Beadle wrote 'The Undeveloped West' which turned out to be an autobiography of sorts, describing Beadle's time in Utah and his voyage westward. It includes accounts of time in Texas, Yosemite and California, and Nevada.
Beadle also includes numerous descriptions of Native American Indian tribes such as the Navajo and Mexicans, Aztec descendants, gold and silver mining, railroad construction, and the rise of Mormons in Utah.
