A very good clean and bright copy in a good price clipped d/w that has some minor wear to edges. A nice copy of a very scarce volume. The classic study of the art of the Georgian gunmaker describes the evolution of the holster pistol and the duelling pistol, with the devolpment of other types. 183pp. Norman Dixon 1920-2011 was a foremost authority on the Georgian flintlock pistol and this important work is illustrated using his own extensive collection recently dispersed at Bonhams.
