Inscribed, signed and dated (May 1982) by Robert Wells on the front flyleaf. A solid copy with firm binding, square spine and intact hinges. No marks to text. Acid paper of pages and endpapers much toned as is typical of Carcanet titles. Extremities bumped. Covers sunned at edges. Unclipped dustjacket sunned, with some creasing at the top edge, else little wear.
