About the book:
First Nicole Claveloux-illustrated edition of the tale of a wooden doll who strikes out on her own after her owner is mean to her. Publisher Harlin Quist had an eye for the unusual, and an affinity for the avant-garde. He worked with a variety of artists to create a spectrum of attractive illustrated titles, from the delightfully spooky penwork of Gorey to vibrant and rather psychedelic watercolors of Etienne Delessert and everything in between.
