Milwaukee, Wis.: Catholic Historical Publishing Company, 1899. First Edition First Printing . Hardcover. Good. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Large Quarto. 1084 pages, indexed. The binding measures 11 3/4 inches tall by 9 3/4 inches wide. Hardcover bound in original green cloth with cover designs embossed in black and in gilt. The binding shows some wear, and the spine ends are fraying. The inner hinges have the publisher's reinforced cloth inner hinges, and yet the volume is shaken. A heavy volume weighing about 8 pounds. The text is toned but generally clean. Illustrated. Text is in old Gothic-style German.
