Beautifully bound in contemporary maroon calf. Gilt spine slightly faded. 8vo. Decorated endpapers and top edge gilt. Some very light spotting here and there. Inscribed to front pastedown "To Jules, Xmas 07" and bearing the bookplate of Sir Julius Wernher, Bart. (founder of De Beers). Frontispiece plus twelve engraved portraits with tissue guards.
