Cracking to gutters of a few pages with exposed binding. Occasional thumb-marking present. Binding is slightly shaky. Boards have mild edge wear with slight rubbing to surfaces and bumping to corners. Mild sunning to spine and edges. White sticker to spine. Crushing to spine ends with small splits and fraying to cloth.

London: Archibald Constable & Co., 1907. . 1st edition (?). 8vo. Hardback. Blue cloth, gilt embossed lettering and border. Uncut page edges. Frontispiece, tissue guard. Complete with 12 plates (including frontispiece), each with tissue guard. Contents: 10cm x 6cm triangular shape water-stain to first few free endpaper corners and frontispiece corner. Endpapers browned. A few plate corners have a similar size water-stain. Otherwise the pages are generally very good and clean. Binding a little fragile in places, but inner hinges tight. Boards: a few small closed nicks and a little fraying to top and base of spine. Light to moderate rubbing to edges and corners. One corner a little bumped. Otherwise generally very good and bright. 287 pp.
