About This Item
Folio (14 x 8 1/2 inches; 356 x 215mm), [4] unnumbered leaves, in stapled illustrated wrappers (soft cover).
SIGNED by Anne Waldman on the final page, her first book and one of only 100 mimeographed copies. A meditation on "my little world," written when she and fellow poet Lewis Warsh were living on St. Mark's Place in the East Village. The poem is dated December 3, 1967, but was published by their Angel Hair imprint in 1968. The book features a beautiful cover illustration by George Schneeman, who often collaborated with New York School poets.
Corinth reprinted Giant Night in 1970; that edition is readily obtainable. This true first edition, though, is scarce to the market, especially in collectible condition.
CONDITION: Pages lightly toned, some soiling to the covers, half-inch tear and some rippling to the rear cover page. A Very Good copy.
