Third book in this series of mysteries featuring the 14 year old daughter of a newspaper publisher, and the last one issued in this format of cloth boards illustrated with a simple line drawing. Illustrated with full-page drawings by Margaret Jervis. Campbell is best known as the author of the original books in the Trixie Belden series, and she also wrote some of the early Cherry Ames and Vickie Barr stories under her married name of Julie Tatham. Advertisement at back of book lists 3 books in this series, 3 titles in the Trixie series, etc. 248 pp plus 2 pp of publisher's ads. Illustrated endpapers.
