Faded green cloth boards with gilt titles & black, white & brown printed decoration to cover & spine. Edges square with some rubbing. Corners chipped. Spine lean. Head of spine chipped, tail rubbed. Foxing and dampstain to edges of text-block. Prev. Owners’ inscriptions on endpapers and bookplate on ffep. Hinge cracking at frontispiece and title page. Dampstain to bottom edge of pages, age-tanning present throughout, and some soiling throughout. Binding is solid. This is an extremely rare first edition of the 9th book in Edith Lavell’s beloved Girl Scout series. Edith Lavell was the director of the Girl Scouts of Philadelphia, and these books remain historically important and special to those interested in the Girl Scouts of America. Children's
