Victor Gollancz, 1952. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1952. First Edition. 433 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth with gilt lettering. Black and white photographic plates throughout. Light tanning to pages with noticeable foxing to text block edges. Moderate cracking to gutters exposing netting but pages remain attached. Pen inscription to front free endpaper. Binding is slightly loose. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild staining, tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has moderate tanning with slight fraying and crushing to ends. Book has a slight forward lean.
