Hardcover, blue cloth with blue title on front cover & spine (corners bent, spine bumped & worn, edgeworn, stains to front cover, ink stamp with writing, on front free endpaper, interior is unmarked otherwise, heavy toning to all pages). dj., clipped (tattered and chipped along top and at bottom of spine, also several short tears, both flaps have creases and are toned at edges, the front flap is detached and laid in at the front of the book, the rear flap has some loss to the upper corner).
Good condition.
Size: 7 5/8" x 5 1/8" (19.5cm x 13cm).
Synopsis
There was nothing in that clear, calm day, with its blue sky and its flooding sunshine, to suggest in the slightest degree the awful tragedy so close at hand - that tragedy which so puzzled the authorities and which came so close to wrecking the happiness of several innocent people.
