About This Item
Orlando: Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, 2008. First Edition, First Printing. . Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. The Goliath Bone" is one of several novels partly completed by Spillane before his death in 2006 and finished at his request by his friend and fellow crime fiction author, Max Allan Collins. The book features the return of Spillane's legendary New York private detective, Mike Hammer, doing battle with Middle East extremists over an archeological treasure. It was Hammer in "I, The Jury," who started Spillane's half-century on the bestseller lists, riding the public's desire for crime fiction filled with violence and laced with sex. Board and text show just a trace of edgewear, o/w clean and unmarked, tight and square, not remaindered. The dustjacket shows only a bit of rubbing, no tears, no creasing or chipping, not price-clipped. A collectable copy.
