A very scarce copy of Henry Campbell-Bannerman's speech given in Portsmouth only a few weeks before he became the Prime Minister, attacking Balfour's government. A very scarce pamphlet.The speech of Henry Campbell-Bannerman, delivered at Portsmouth on the 16th November 1905, only a few weeks before he became the Prime Minister.This speech details Campbell-Bannerman's issues he perceived to be within his opposition, the government of Arthur Balfour.Campbell-Bannerman was known as a radical Prime Minister, supporting Irish Home Rule, a pressing issue of the time. He is also the only Prime Minister to have died at 10 Downing Street. Disbound, as issued. Externally, the front wrap is detached but present. Stamp to the front wrap. Light edgewear to the outer wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
