About This Item
Durham, NC: Duke University Press, 1964. Book. Near Fine. Hardcover. First Edition. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. In this volume, the author takes a careful and critical look at particular aspects of Florida's government in their historical setting, in order to determine the factors - events, individuals, institutions - which played a role in shaping the governor's policies. The facts he reveals come mainly from unpublished manuscript sources in Seville and London. The result is a volume which puts the history of Spanish Florida in in clear perspective and sheds new light on international activity. 248pp, 1 map. Corner clipped from the dj, otherwise a very nice copy..
