A lovely original piano score, plate printed and sold by N.Corri Edinburgh [their stamp]. The fine and extravagant title-page has a copperplate engraving to the head of the cover with a Fair illustrated including dancing bears on chains. Detailed activities are being held on the to celebrate the signing of the Peace Treaty between Britain and France of 1802. [Treaty of Amiens].[Nicola Sampieri [fl.1790-1810]. A RARE ITEM ONE COPY TRACED. Described in the titles as a 'Comical piece of music the score and vignettes showing the music being represented such as 'Men playing a fanfare when the treaty is signed etc. [THIS IS A RARE AND EARLY EXAMPLE OF PROGRAMME MUSIC]. 1st edition.
