Leakey, Texas: Self Published, 1951. First Edition. Hardcover with dust jacket. Very Good+/Good+. Large 12mo. Pp. 179. Illustrated with b&w photo reproductions. Pebble-texture tan cloth, titles stamped in black on the spine. Author portrait signed in ink. Upper corner gently bumped, leaf edges lightly toned and foxed, pencil annotations. In the photo illustrated dust jacket unclipped, with light wear. First printing. The author's grandparents, John and Nancy Leakey, settled near the Frio River in 1856. Florence Fenley of Uvalde helped collect and wrote this history of Texas and North Dakota ranching and Indian fighting. With many photographs by Leakey. ADAMS HERD: 798.
Dust jacket is now preserved in a removable clear archival sleeve.
