Description:
Augsburg: [Johann Jakob Lotter und Sohn], 1815. Very Good -. The part for the organ bass or violone only. 2 p.: music; 31 cm. Disbound from a miscellaneous volume. No date of publication. The composer's opus 4 was published in 1817, suggesting an approximate date of 1815 for this, his first published work. In 1804 Bühler became a choir director in Augsburg, where he remained for the rest of his life. The Augsburg music printers, Johann Jakob Lotter und Sohn, printed those works of his that were issued during his lifetime, so it is likely that they also printed this work. Contents: Kyrie -- Gloria -- Credo -- Et in carnatus -- Sanctus -- Benedictus -- Agnus Dei -- Dona. At head of both pages is printed "Organo"; written in pencil above that: "Violone." The handwritten label on the volume that included this piece listed this as "Missa I in D." In Very Good- Condition: soiled; one horizontal crease; lower edge slightly chipped.
