London: Michael Joseph, 1950. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. First UK Edition. Publisher's brown cloth titled in yellow to spine. Lightly sunned to the spine panel, foxing to the top edge and front and rear end-papers. Overall a VG copy. The former owner has blind-stamped his address to the front free end-paper. The D/W (not clipped - 9s. 6d.) has some foxing to the reverse, and top and bottom edge of the D/W have been reinforced on the verso with acid-free archival tape (Filmoplast), not visible from the front. The D/W is now protected by a transparent, archival, removable sleeve. Scarce
