Contemporary blue buckram with gilt title on the spine. = The complete first volume (of six). Definitely one of the rarest volumes of this series. This volume contains 13 papers, dealing with, for instance, the biology of reef-building corals, the physiology of corals, and organisms which destroy coral rocks (e.g., various boring molluscs). Well-illustrated. Number on spine foot; perforated stamp in the lower margin of the title leaf with cancellation stamp on verso. Otherwise a very good, clean copy.
