London, UK: Alecto Historical Editions, 1987. 1st . Hardcover. Very Good. First printing, limited to 1,000 copies, of which this is #383. The three volumes were published from 1987 to 1992. Three volumes, all over-sized folio format in brown and beige cloth with gilt spine titles, slipcase. First volume: Domesday Book: Studies, 179 pp., many ills., glossary, biblio, appendices, index. Second volume: The Yorkshire Domesday: Introduction & Translation, 120 pp. + translations, maps, biblio, index. Third volume: The Yorkshire Domesday: Folios and Maps, about 100 un-numbered pages of facsimiles plus 4 large folding maps in pocket. All three volumes in unread condition with no owner's marks, minor spotting to covers. Slipcase is splitting along some seams and has been reinforced with transparent tape. A superb set. Overseas shipping will be more expensive due to the size and weight of this set.
