Description:
Garden City: Doubleday, 1972. Hardcover. Fine/Very Good. First edition. Octavo. 138pp. Fine in very good or better dustwrapper with a little soiling, a couple of tiny tears, and an abrasion and internal stain from sticker removal. Jacket painting by the Dillons. A nice copy of this story of the life of the extraordinary rebel who led a slave rebellion in South Carolina in the 1820's, written by a noted black novelist. A very uncommon title possibly intended for adolescents, most copies seem to have gone to libraries.
