First edition. Illustrated with frontispiece, five folding plates, and seventeen plates, with ten in-text images. Collated complete. A study of the plague in London during 1665, with historical remarks on: the first signs of plague, outbreaks, plague in the city, town and countryside, the peak of the curve, the decline, and the Oxford parliament. Written by Walter George Bell, a British writer and historian. In the original red cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear to the extremities and minor bumping. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean with light scattered spotting, predominantly to the front and back pages. Very Good Indeed
