About This Item
Louisville, KY. Good. 1874. Broadside. A scarce freight table with hundreds of items. Sheet has some soil and creasing, with tape repairs, a few chips, a fold split, and a one-inch piece missing on the right margin. Image is slightly cropped due to scanner size. The explanation of freight classes at the top shows five whole number classes and a 1 1/2 Class, plus Double First Class, Three Times First Class, and A and B Classes. Herring in boxes is second class, but herring in kegs is third class; children's wagons and hobby horses, knocked down, are first class; and smut machines are 1 1/2 class. The Green Line was another name for the Cincinnati, Newport, and Covington Railway. A comprehensive list with the name of freight agent Milton H. Smith of Louisville, who probably saw it all. No copies found on OCLC. ; 18 1/4" x 12" .
