New York: Harper & Brothers, 1941. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo. [6], 342 p.p., [1]. With [5] illustrations incl. frontispiece. Light wear to boards, edges. Some bruising to spine ends with a miniature tear at corner of spine head. Pages bumped at bottom edge. Small damp stains to top-edge and frontis. Light foxing throughout. Owner inscription on front free endpaper. Otherwise in good condition. Aldous Huxley's biography of François Leclerc du Tremblay [1577-1638], a French monk and advisor to Cardinal de Richelieu.
