About This Item
Boston: Little Brown, and Co., 1913. First Edition . Cloth. Fine/No Jacket. Anton Otto Fischer. First Printing. From the recently auctioned collection of Adrian and M. B. Goldstone--with the auction tag laid in. This superb copy is signed by the author on the title page--signature only--a rare signature. A just about fine copy in Brown cloth with orange and gilt lettering and decorations to the front board and spine. The front board is as new but the gilt to the lettering of the spine has almost worn off--but the letters were blind stamped and still show well. There is just a touch of edgewear to the crown and heel of the spine along with a crease to the cloth of the rear board--otherwise this would be a fine copy in a remarkable state. Doubt you will find a nicer copy than this. Bower was a Montana resident who wrote 57 novels about the West in her prolific career. Married three times--some of her books were made into movies. Will be shipped Priority mail at media mail pricing.
