This is the famous anthology of the Italian neo-avant garde: Parte Prima "La Nuova Litteratura"; Parte Seconda, "Trentaquatro scrittori", the debate from the Palermo conference in October 1963. The publisher, Feltinelli, was an influential Italian publisher, businessman, and political activist. He founded a vast library of documents mainly in the history of international labour and socialist movements. He published the writings of figures such as Castro, Che and Ho Chi Minh, and a series of pamphlets on the unfolding insurgencies and wars in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. At Che's death, he sold copies of the Korda photo poster to all corners of the globe. He was a strong supporter of the international avante garde and took many risks to see controversial works into print.
