Milano, A. Mondadori, 1936 1st Ltd Ed. Signed. 347/1199.. Tall hardback, 10 x 7 inches. Half bound in blue morocco leather to spine, with marbled paper boards. Embossed banding and gilt decorations to spine, with gilt lettering. Plain endpapers and page edges. In very good condition. With shelfwear and handling marks. Some overall rubbing to leather on spine. Boards heavily rubbed with chipped patch to front. Endpapers clean, small previous owners stamp to front corner “A.W. Knisely.” Inside pages with some moderate to heavy foxing throughout. Plates heavily tanned. Minor stain to bottom edges of rear endpapers and few index pages. Signed and numbered on last page. Else overall a very good limited edition copy. 249pp. + Index. Illustrated with photogravure plates, including fold-out panoramics, and plates of facsimile letters/writing. In Italian Language.
