London : MacMillan, 1876 Bound in dark blue Moroocco leather with gilt double borders, elaborate gilt spines with five raised bands, red spine label, aeg, 576 pp. An unread copy with light foxing to the end papers, spine rubbed at high points and spine gilt somewhat faded.

London: Published for John Taylor, 1827 Book. Good. Full leather. Two volume set. Vol 1 - [iii]-viii, 347, [1] pages. Vol 2 - [ii], 355, [1] pages + 4 page publisher's catalogue at the rear. In the original full leather bindings, but lacking almost all of the lettering pieces, spines worn and damaged. Bound without the half title pages. Vol 1 has a small bookseller's ticket to the rear free end paper - Hessey, Book seller, Fleet Street..

Fairly clean tight texts (with halftitles) have been fitted with new endpapers and bound in plain grey paper covered boards with black leather/leatherette spiness with paper title labels. The binding and labels may be over a hundred years old. Covers are sound and clean but have some scuffed patches. Spine labels browned.
