A charming little volume of Gulliver's Travels published by Oxford University Press as part of its The World's Classics series. Gulliver's Travels was number 20 in the series.
This copy is in Very Good condition. There is some wear to the dust jacket, especially at the corners, and there is a small puncture through the dust jacket and into the spine. There is also a small tear to the front hinge and slight cracking to the back hinge. Otherwise the book is in excellent condition.
Synopsis
Gulliver's Travels (1726, amended 1735), officially Travels into Several Remote Nations of the World, in Four Parts. By Lemuel Gulliver, First a Surgeon, and then a Captain of several Ships, is a novel by Irish writer and clergyman Jonathan Swift that is both a satire on human nature and a parody of the "travellers' tales" literary sub-genre. It is Swift's best known full-length work, and a classic of English literature. The book became tremendously popular as soon as it was published.
