Bookplate pasted to ffep. Dust jacket is price clipped, age toned to edges and flaps, bumped at spine ends. Edges reinforced with tape. In this expanded version of his BBC television series, Dr. Christopher Roads covers the development of the gun from the invention of gunpowder in about 1250 to the highly sophisticated weapons being manufactured today.
